Creating a sense of community amongst lots of young diverse creative women
-Sydney Lowe on Art Girl Army
When you first meet Sydney she has the warmest heart, tightest his and biggest smile I have ever seen. This vibrant young woman and I met about 4 years ago while working at Topshop in Soho. We connected right off the bat and it was just laughter and inspiration and pure love in our friendship. Sydney first came to LA to work on a project and now she has decided to take a leap of faith and move to LA to bring her Brooklyn swag to the city of angels.
Fast forward to Sydney becoming an award winning photographer and her taking amazing photos of me for her visual series on healing through your emotions via natural resources like water. Everything Sydney does is empowering. This Brooklynite has worked for heavy weights such as HBO and Issa Rae!
Going back to how empowering Sydney is one of her purposes on this planet is to empower young women . She has created a Facebook group known as Art Girl Army which is a group bringing young, super talented women in the art field bringing them together to share their projects and connect with each other. The Facebook group is growing steadily and some of the work that these women are sharing are so next level and progressive.
In our LA Liivn Series with Sydney Lowe we discuss her being in LA, Art Girl Army and what she hopes to achieve in life in LA. Enjoy the video below and be sure to comment, subscribe and share!
BTW Sydney produced and shot this BeenieTV LA Livin Series. Special Thanx To Sydney!
